Students in the M.Ed. with a specialization in school counseling program will complete 48 credit hours of coursework, which includes 33 credit hours of core coursework, 6 credit hours of electives, and 9 credit hours of internships.
The standard online M.Ed. courseload is 6 credits per term. In fall and spring, students enrolled for 6 credits are considered part time for financial aid purposes. In summer, students enrolled for 6 credits are considered full time for financial aid purposes.
Live classes are held weekly, Monday through Thursday, and are mandatory. Classes may begin as early as 4 p.m. CT.
Students will not be able to work full time at another job while completing the three internships, and the internships may not be completed at a school in which a student is employed.
