Kelly Duncan is a lecturer in the Department of Human and Organizational Development in the Peabody College of education and human development at Vanderbilt University. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of South Dakota. Prior to joining the Vanderbilt faculty, she was the dean of the Millicent Atkins School of Education at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

She has been a counselor educator for over 15 years and has been involved in leadership at the state and national levels of the American Counseling Association for almost 30 years. Duncan’s research interests include best practices in school counseling, analysis of assessments for use by professional counselors and clinical supervision.
