Dr. Michael Neel is a lecturer in Peabody College’s Department of Leadership, Policy and Organizations. His primary assignment is in the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership and Learning in Organizations program, an innovative degree program that supports mid-career professionals across a range of industries. Dr. Neel’s teaching and scholarly interests focus on professional learning and on the intersection of policy and practice in learning settings. At present, he is working with colleagues at Peabody on research projects that explore teacher collaboration and teacher learning initiatives. Prior to joining the Department of Leadership, Policy and Organizations, Dr. Neel was on faculty in the Department of Teaching and Learning, where he taught pedagogy, classroom ecology and education policy.
