Vanderbilt Accounts

Set Up Your VU Email

Your Vanderbilt email address is the official address for communications from the Dean’s Office, the Department Chair, the Program Director, all course professors and the Student Success team. Checking your email address regularly will keep you informed of all University and programmatic information from the University, faculty, and the Student Success Team.

After you officially enroll at Vanderbilt University, you will receive an email to create your Vanderbilt User Account. To begin the account claim process, click on the link in the “Invitation to Vanderbilt” email. Your VUnetID and Access Code should pre-populate.

Once activated, your VUnetID is your key to many VU online resources including VU Email and the YES administrative portal. More information can be found here: https://it.vanderbilt.edu/services/identity/user/new/index.php
